Mainstream's Inês Ribeiro receives CanSIA award, Canada
Mainstream's Inês Ribeiro received the CanSIA Game Changer Award for the category of Emerging Solar Leader last December 2013. She tied with David Berliner, her fellow founding Co-Chair of Emerging Leaders for Solar Energy (ELSE), an organisation started by the Canadian Solar Industries Association in 2012. ELSE is an organisation for young professionals and students focusing on advocacy for the solar sector and providing professional development opportunities to its members. Inês is a sustainability and environmental management specialist. Her role in Mainstream is to support the Canadian development team in obtaining approvals and permits for large-scale wind and solar projects in Ontario and Alberta, as well as engaging in public participation for projects. Inês holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management and Policy from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE), at Lund University, Sweden, where she completed research on energy efficiency and renewable energy in Ontario.
