Sustainability

Mainstream is a values-led company and one of its core values is sustainability. It believes that as the world’s leading independent renewable energy developer, it has a key role to play in fighting global warming and accelerating the global energy transition.

The four pillars of Mainstream’s sustainability framework allow the Company to categorise and manage issues according to the context in which they occur. These are Marketplace, Workplace, Environment and Community. These pillars stand on the foundation of Mainstream’s unique GDS, which in turn is underpinned by the Company’s Values

Code of Conduct

The principals within our Code of Conduct require our people, and anyone acting on behalf of Mainstream, to at all times act in an honest, professional and transparent manner to protect our valuable reputation and maintain our ethical business culture.

The Code of Conduct is an affirmation of how Mainstream conducts its business and it sets out the standards of behaviour required from all employees, agents, partners and all of those acting on behalf of Mainstream.

Modern Slavery Statement

Our Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps that Mainstream is committed to taking to combat slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.

AWARDS

Mainstream has been recognised in the finance industry where it was awarded the PFI Award 2019 for Latin America Renewables Deal of the Year 2019 (pictured right). In late 2019 it was awarded the Infrastructure Investor Awards 2019 Latin America Renewables Deal of the Year for the Condór Portfolio, Andes Renovables and the Infrastructure Investor Awards 2019 for the Middle East and Africa, West Bakr wind farm in Egypt (252 MW).

Accreditation

Mainstream’s number one value is Safety. The Company is committed to applying the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management whilst developing world class renewable energy projects. This approach is reflected in Mainstream’s SHEQ policy and SHEQ Management Systems, which have been externally validated to meet compliance with relevant ISO standards. The Company has also received accreditation under the Great Place to Work Institute Ireland and awarded A- in its climate change mitigation through the CDP.
