Mainstream Renewable Power Appoints Julie Berg as Chief Financial Officer

Global wind and solar company, Mainstream Renewable Power (“Mainstream”), announces the appointment of Julie Berg as Chief Financial Officer, effective from the second quarter 2024. Julie joins Mainstream from its sister company Aker Carbon Capture, where she has held the position of Chief Financial Officer since December 2023.
Julie brings over 27 years of experience in finance. Previous to Aker Carbon Capture, she has held several key leadership positions within KPMG, including Head of KPMG’s Audit & Assurance group in Oslo. Through her work at KPMG, Julie has advised international companies and Norwegian listed entities on topics ranging from IPOs to risk, compliance, finance transformation and audit. Originally from the UK, she has extensive international experience within the energy and industrial sectors. Julie is a State Authorized Public Accountant in Norway.
She takes over the role from Paul Corrigan who has been CFO at Mainstream since 2020. Having led the successful reorganisation of Mainstream’s Energia portfolios in Chile in 2023, Paul will move to a new role as Commercial Director and will continue as a key member of Mainstream’s management team where he will oversee the company’s commercial activities in its Latam markets including in Chile where the Company operates 1 GW of wind and solar assets. Paul joined Mainstream in 2008 and has executed numerous transactions with a value of c.€5.0bn, in project finance, mezzanine finance, trade finance, corporate debt and M&A across multiple jurisdictions.
