Christian Rynning-Tønnesen

Chair

Christian is a senior executive and board-level leader with more than 30 years of international experience across energy, infrastructure, industry and consulting. He is a senior advisor and holds various board positions. He has previously been CEO of Statkraft, Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy and CEO of Norske Skog, an international paper producer.

He has extensive experience leading large, complex organisations, with a strong track record in corporate transformation and operations across global markets.

Christian began his career at Esso Norge (Exxon) and McKinsey & Company, building expertise in energy systems, strategy, and industrial optimisation.

He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology.

Lene Landøy

Director

Lene Landøy joined Aker ASA in September 2021, where she is Head of Investments. Prior to this, she was an executive responsible for Strategy and Business Development and Commercial at Aker BP, which she joined in 2017. Ms Landøy also has experience from Equinor as leader of business development on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. She has extensive experience from various business entities such as technology and innovation, finance, natural gas and international business development.

Ms Landøy is Deputy Chairman of Norsk Industri, serves on the board of Gaia Salmon, Clara Venture Labs and is a deputy board member for Aker Horizons. She holds a Master’s degree in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She also holds a Master’s degree in international finance from the Skema Business School in France.

Sarim Sheikh is a senior executive and board director with over 30 years of global leadership experience across energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. He currently serves as Partner at Faradeum, advising private equity firms and global enterprises on operational value creation, transformation, and performance across the full investment lifecycle.

He holds multiple non-executive directorships, including at Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (FTSE 250), the Port of Dover, Mainstream Renewable Power, and the Net Zero Technology Centre, contributing to strategic oversight in renewable energy, critical infrastructure, and clean technology innovation.

Previously, Sarim spent more than a decade in senior leadership roles at GE, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of Wind and President & CEO for Pakistan & Central Asia, leading large-scale industrial operations, multi-billion-dollar investment programmes, and global supply chain transformation.

Earlier in his career, he held senior executive roles at Shell, including Chair of Shell Pakistan and Cluster General Manager for Lubricants across Europe, Africa, and Latin America, where he led major business turnarounds, global restructuring, and multi-country operational expansion.

He holds an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration and an MBA with Distinction in Strategy & Investment from London Business School.

Takuji Sasaki

Takuji Sasaki is a management member at AMEA Business Division, Digital & infrastructure Solutions Business Unit in Mitsui & Co. with extensive international experience in infrastructure project development and management across Europe and Asia. He currently serves as General Manager in Mitsui’s Digital & Infrastructure Solutions Business Unit in Tokyo, overseeing strategic initiatives and project execution in infrastructure markets.

Previously, he held the position of General Manager of the Project Department at Mitsui & Co. Europe Plc, where he was responsible for driving infrastructure project activities across European markets.

He brings strong expertise in cross-border infrastructure investment, project structuring, and global business development within one of Japan’s leading trading and investment companies.
