Mainstream has published its sixth Sustainability Report, showcasing our efforts to implement a green energy transition while creating a planet-positive impact in 2023.

The report presents a comprehensive overview of our initiatives, achievements, and future strategies towards strengthening and enhancing sustainable practices across our operations.

Highlights in 2023’s report include:

  • Our commitment letter to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) on Mainstream’s short- and long-term targets to reach net zero
  • Deeper integration of sustainability requirements into our Global Development Standard
  • Developing a Business Partner Code of Conduct for enhanced stakeholder engagement
  • Conducting a comprehensive materiality assessment and gap analysis to better prepare for upcoming sustainability reporting requirements.

“A central part of our work in 2023 has been to assess and prepare for increasing sustainability reporting requirements and to further develop the Company’s procedures to meet them,” says Joseph Quinn, Head of Investor Relations at Mainstream.

“These efforts underscore Mainstream’s commitment to creating meaningful and lasting value for stakeholders and society through our continuous focus on socially and environmentally sustainable renewable energy projects. By prioritising these values, we aim to increase our positive impact through transparent and accountable reporting.”

The report is structured according to the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) four pillars of Good Governance, Respect for People, Planet-Positive Impact and Prosperity for All, supported by detailed case studies and stories of our impact in markets where we operate.
