Mainstream Renewable Power, the global wind and solar development company, is pleased to announce the appointment of its Group CFO, Mary Quaney to its Board of Directors.

Mary joined Mainstream in 2009 and has held the role of Group Chief Financial Officer since 2017. Mary leads Mainstream’s finance, corporate finance and commercial functions across the group spanning four continents, helping to shape and drive the company’s strategic direction. Mary sits on Mainstream’s Global Leadership Team, its Risk & Investment and Corporate Social Responsibility Committees.

Mainstream’s Group Chief Executive, Andy Kinsella said: “Mary has already made an immense contribution to the success of the company and I’m delighted with her appointment to our Board. Mary has rightly earned a reputation for building world-class teams and aligning finance strategies and systems which have supported our high growth and investor returns.”

Mary Quaney added: “It has been a privilege seeing the company go from strength-to-strength, having helped to drive all our major transactions, from the early offshore days of Round 3 to the sale of Neart na Gaoithe. As Group CFO and Executive Director, I’m looking forward to delivering superior investor returns, as the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy continues to accelerate.”

Mary has graduate and post-graduate qualifications from UCD and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). She is an advocate and spokesperson on gender diversity and participates as a mentor for the Global Wind Energy Council’s (GWEC) Women in Wind programme.

Prior to joining Mainstream, Mary held senior-level positions in finance and corporate tax in PricewaterhouseCoopers and Trinity Biotech Plc.
