Manuel Tagle stepped into the role as General Manager of Mainstream Renewable Power in April of 2018.  

He has extensive experience in the energy industry, particularly in NCRE. Prior to joining Mainstream, Manuel was CEO of SunPower and Commercial Manager of Sociedad GNL Mejillones.  

Manuel has a degree in civil industrial engineering and an MBA from the Universidad de Desarrollo, Chile. He is currently the Treasury Director of ACERA, the Chilean Association of Renewable Energy.

Nicole Herbert is the current Head of HR & Business Facilities for the Americas region and has held this position for over 10 years. Nicole joined Mainstream US in 2008 to hire a team of developers to work on wind energy projects in North America.  

Prior to joining Mainstream, Nicole worked for 4 years in the global renewable energy company, Airtricity Inc. and has over 16 years of experience working in the renewable energy sector in Ireland, the United States and Chile.  

Nicole has a business degree from Portobello College, Dublin. 

Juan Pablo Toledo joined Mainstream Renewable Power as Head of Development and Preconstruction in July of 2018.  

Juan Pablo has over 15 years of experience in the energy market and before joining Mainstream he held management roles in renewable energy companies such as SunPower and SunEdison, Engie (ex E-CL), Electroandina and Edelnor, where he was responsible for driving business and projects forward in Latin America.  

Juan Pablo is a civil electrical engineer and a graduate of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile. He also has a Masters in Financial Management from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.  

Ana María Argandoña joined Mainstream Renewable Power Chile as Head of External Affairs, Communications and Communities in December of 2019. Ana María is a communications specialist with a Masters in Corporate Communications Management from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña in Barcelona. She has over 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors, particularly in the mining, water and energy industries. Ana María has also held various different roles in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry for Health. Ana María is highly experienced in communications management, community development, crisis management and conflict resolution, institutional relations, social corporate responsibility and public affairs, among others.

Andrés Curia joined Mainstream Chile as Head of the Legal Department in November of 2015.  In late 2018, he was appointed as Head of the Legal and Commercial Departments.  

Andrés has over 17 years of experience practicing law. He has been working in the energy industry for over 8 years. He was the Head of the Pacific Hydro Chile’s Legal Department where he worked on the development, construction and operation of hydroelectricity and wind energy projects. Prior to this, he worked as a corporate lawyer for CGE Group’s Legal Management, during which time he provided legal advice to the group’s companies for areas such as distribution, sub-transmission and hydroelectricity generation projects. He has led numerous litigation teams and participated in project financing processes, as well as working as a Research Analyst in the London School of Economic’s Centre for Economic Performance.  

Andrés has a law degree from the University of Diego Portales and a Masters in International Commercial Law from the University of London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and Finance for Lawyers from the University of Chile’s Faculty of Economics and Finance. 

Nicolás joined Mainstream in 2018 to lead the development and construction of the company’s solar projects in Chile and assumed the role of Head of Technical Services in February of 2021. Nicolás is a civil electrical engineer with 14 years of experience in building out non-conventional renewable energy (NCRE) projects.

He began his career in New Zealand, where he participated in the construction of a 15kW offgrid wind project. Later, on his return to Paris, he was responsible for the construction of five solar projects and led the GBSolar engineering team in the development of 500+ MW of feasibility studies and project execution.

In Solairedirect, Nicolás was part of the construction team that built out five projects in India between 2012 and 2013 and two projects in South Africa in 2014, before he moved to Chile to lead the construction of 92 MW in Chile and Peru.

Sebastián Ugarte was promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer, Latam in June 2021.  He joined Mainstream at the end of March 2021 to take on the role of Head of M&A and Investments for Mainstream Renewable Power Latam. 

Sebastián has 10 years of experience in the finance sector and previously held the roles of Business Manager in Grupo Security and Investment Manager and Head of Project Finance in Mainstream between 2015 and 2018.

Sebastián has a degree in agricultural engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica as well as Masters in Agricultural Business Administration and Finance from the Pontificia Universidad Católica and ESE Business School respectively.
