Mainstream Renewable Power is in a rapid growth phase and is seeking to recruit a commercially minded Treasury Manager who can thrive in a scaling organisation and has the ability to lead and drive performance of the business. The role, which reports to the Head of Treasury & FP&A, will have significant interaction with Executive Management, the regional teams and in particular the CFO.

The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can fit into Mainstreams seamlessly and adopt a hands-on approach to developing the Mainstreams Treasury function. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to excel and develop into a leadership role.

Reporting to the Head of Treasury & FP&A, this is a key role in the group finance team that requires significant experience in a group financial accountant role and appropriate technical expertise in FX management and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Day To Day Treasury:

  • Management of the group treasury function including monitoring the group cash resources, arranging treasury deposits, booking FX purchases, reviewing cash calls from subsidiaries and disbursement of cash around the group as appropriate
  • Management of foreign currency exposure, including entering into appropriate hedging contracts.
  • Driving completion of the weekly cash forecast template and weekly cash summary report for the CFO
  • Working with the FP&A team to driving completion of the Rolling Cash Forecast(presented at 6 Board meetings per annum) including rolling forward the Rolling Cash Forecast spreadsheet, setting up scenarios and understanding the funding and cashflows requirements of the group.
  • Reviewing and approving supplier payments for accuracy, ensuring appropriate tax treatment and challenging inappropriate spend as necessary
  • Engaging with the broader treasury team for global business continuity planning or training.
  • Reviewing cash transactions for accuracy and resolving any discrepancies, overseeing the timely settlement of intercompany balances, providing data support for journal entries relating to treasury activity, and preparing short medium-term forecasts for cash and other liquid assets and their sources – these are just some aspects of a vital role that comes with comprehensive training and support.
  • Reviewing and preparing all necessary schedules for the year-end external audit and quarterly board reviews in relation to Treasury.
  • Ensure that we have Treasury Solutions for each of our regions
  • Management of the AP team (3 reports) and the digitalization roadmap for our AP & Cash and Bank.

Other Key Objectives :

  • Support Finance Due Diligence queries on all Treasury Matters (IPO process & Aker)
  • Take a lead role in digitalization of the projects in conjunction with the Head Of Digitalisation within the Treasury & AP function.
  • Facilitating the Company’s relationships with commercial banks, credit rating agencies, payment service providers and lenders.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A high calibre qualified Chartered Accountant (5-10 years PQE). Big Four experience a distinct advantage.
  • Relevant treasury work experience gained within Global entities where you were responsible for capital markets transactions & FX
  • Experience with treasury management systems and online banking platforms
  • Excellent IFRS knowledge essential
  • Must have strong analytical/quantitative skills and experience with a multi-site organization.
  • Excellent attention to detail plus strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to able to multi-task in order to meet strict deadlines
  • Self-motivation, the confidence to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team, and a flexible and adaptable approach to change
  • Proficiency using Windows, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines.
  • High levels of energy and motivation, with a track record of delivery.
  • Strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Flexibility to work on a broad range of projects.
  • Flexibility to travel
