Summary of Role:

As commissioning leader, you will be responsible for coordinating site resources to inspect cable laying and wiring tasks, tests, trials, start-up tests, attention to failures and abnormalities. Must ensure coordination with the activities with the area of ​​maintenance and operation of assets, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance and always in compliance with quality, budget and HSE. You will be responsible for coordinating the commissioning activities of 2 to 6 assets simultaneously, exceeding 1.5 GW. You will be responsible for correctly reporting to internal management, you will monitor and control a budget by area and for each individual project and portfolio.

Finally, you will be asked to innovate and optimize the technical processes that contribute to the operational efficiency of the projects.

 

What will you do?

  • Ensure that projects under construction (wind, solar and BoP) in Chile comply with the start-up and start-up plan in accordance with the general MRP planning and current regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports and progress reports on site tasks as part of the facilities handover.
  • Propose and organize an operational strategy to increase the performance of on-site resources to maintain the construction compliance of the projects.
  • Manage the defined contractor to support and inspect the commissioning of the facilities to ensure that they are operating correctly in accordance with the company's requirements.
  • Supervise the teams of contractor companies that carry out tests and trials during the commissioning of the facilities.
  • Actively drive for zero HSE incidents during project construction.
  • Ensure compliance with the start-up of projects in accordance with Health and Safety and Environment regulations and permits.
  • Issue project progress reports as requested by internal management teams.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, electronic or industrial) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • A wide range of experience in commissioning, testing and start-up of power projects.
  • Experience in testing electrical substation protection and control systems would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Chilean regulations on Health and Safety and the Environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
