Eduardo joined the Asia Pacific team in 2020 and took up his current role, with responsibility for Mainstream’s business development and expansion in the region, in June 2021.
Previously, he was part of the Group’s Central Commercial team.
He has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2010, with a focus on business development and project finance transactions in emerging markets.
To date, he has closed more than 4,000 MW (gross), with cumulative deal values in excess of USD 1 billion in South America, Southern Africa and Southeast Asia.
Before joining Mainstream in 2017, he worked with FBP Investments, leading market entry in Indonesia in 2011 and developing the country’s first utility-scale solar PV project, and spent time as a Senior Consultant with KPMG Advisory in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a focus on the energy sector.
Eduardo holds a BSc in International Economics from Universita’ Bocconi (Italy), an MA in International Studies from the University of Vienna (Austria) and is fluent in English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Greg joined Mainstream in 2020 tasked with originating and developing Mainstream Australia’s first greenfield wind farm developments, now a pipeline of projects over 1.5 GW located in Qld and NSW. From 2022, Greg assumed responsibility of Country Manager, leading the growth of the onshore renewables business and building a team capable of executing projects from early-stage through to construction.
He is a renewables specialist with over 18 years of experience in Australia’s renewable energy sector being involved in various stages of the project life cycle from early-stage greenfield development, procurement, power system integration and construction. Major achievements include closing over 500MW of EPC wind farm projects, including Australia’s first wind/solar/BESS hybrid, whilst working for the major multinational wind farm EPC companies.
Greg holds a BEng (Mechanical, Hon) & BSc from Monash University (Melbourne) & MSc (Renewable Energy Technology) from TU Eindhoven & Delft in the Netherlands.
Randal Barker joined Mainstream in Singapore as Head of Legal, APAC in March 2023. He is responsible for Legal, Compliance and Governance across the region, and is a member of the APAC Senior Team.
Randal has lived and worked internationally in Vancouver, Tokyo, London and Perth (Australia). Previous senior roles were at Lightsource BP, where he was General Counsel, and BHP where he also held General Counsel roles in different business units. Earlier in his career, he worked in private practice with international law firms Hogan Lovells and Norton Rose Fulbright as an M&A and IPO lawyer. Working on the energy transition and action on climate change are increasingly important to Randal as a Quaker and from growing up in rural Canada.
Randal is a graduate of Harvard University and the McGill University Faculty of Law, and he completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD. He is admitted to practice law in the USA, Canada, the UK and Australia.
