Mainstream is developing wind and solar plant on-land across Canada, Chile, South Africa and the US.
Canada and the US
We have a number of projects ranging from Illinois up to Alberta. We are active in California and we’ll be expanding that business on an ongoing basis. We are working with local partners and with local utilities to drive big generation portfolios forward and we see ourselves as becoming a significant player in those markets.

Chile and South Africa
The geographic scope of our strategy includes countries that are in the second tier like Chile and South Africa. These have stable democracies, stable currencies, stable interest rates and are both very short of electricity.
Both of these countries are in the early stages of the transition to renewable energy and are in the process of establishing strong wind and solar industries. Mainstream has established partnerships with local developers in these countries and together we are progressing and expanding our footprint of wind and solar projects in these jurisdictions.
