<p><strong>Mainstream is currently recruiting for a  Project Finance Administrator</strong></p>
<p>Mainstream Renewable Power is about to enter the construction phase of one wind project and two solar projects in South Africa .</p>
<p>As the Project Finance Administrator in the Finance team (reporting to the Country Finance Manager), you will be responsible for the management of the drawdown of Equity contributions from the project stakeholders and debt from our facility providers to finance the construction phases for the projects until final handover of the projects to Asset Operations.</p>
<p>During the construction phase, the Project Finance Administrator will be responsible for coordinating all construction finance drawdowns and stakeholder approvals for stage payments to the construction contractors.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Activities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with the various Facility Agents, Stakeholders and Contractors.</li>
<li>Drawdown management: Issue Notice of Drawdowns &amp; Cash Calls to project Stakeholders and manage the full process.</li>
<li>Escalation Management: Escalation point for our Facility Agents and Contractors.</li>
<li>Funds Management: Liaise with Country Finance &amp; Accounts Payable to monitor and control the movement of funds into and out of the Project bank accounts.</li>
<li>Account management: Opening, Closing &amp; amend bank accounts</li>
<li>Compliance &amp; regulatory: Banking compliance &amp; regulatory requirements</li>
<li>Liaise and cooperate with the Asset Delivery Project Manager</li>
<li>Liaise and cooperate with external parties – banks, independent engineers, technical advisors, contractors, government bodies etc.</li>
<li>Audits: SPV Bank account &amp; access audits</li>
<li>Significant autonomy in work, but a strong reporting and approval process using Mainstream’s procedures and processes</li>
<li>Liaise and cooperate with other relevant in-house teams – Procurement &amp; Project Delivery, Corporate Finance, Development, etc.</li>
<li>Participate in company knowledge sharing groups which focus on sharing of expertise globally.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Accountabilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Drawdowns – Accountable for maintaining the contractual obligations under all the Stakeholder contracts (Debt facility agreement, Equity Subscription &amp; Retention Agreement, plus others) for all Construction projects.</li>
<li>Contractor payments – Liaise with Accounts Payable in relation to stage payments to Contractors to ensure Mainstream do not default.</li>
<li>Monitor daily activities on the construction projects, using this data to trend and develop more detailed forecasts and ensure that the drawdown process is optimised.</li>
<li>Project financial control through the relationships with the  stakeholders, contractors and consultants</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Background in Finance (Degree level or Certification in Accounting) or Degree in Engineering (electrical or civil), Energy, or Business, with a minimum of 3 years experience</li>
<li>Good project management skill set required including contract administration,  planning, financial control and management</li>
<li>Excellent organisational skills and highly proactive in issue management</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communications skills</li>
<li>Candidates should be comfortable presenting to management at all levels</li>
<li>Candidates should be capable of managing internal and external resources</li>
<li>Ability to use Microsoft software</li>
<li>Fluent in English</li>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>The Head of Construction will be responsible for the construction of Mainstream’s onshore wind and solar projects globally. Key responsibilities will be:</p>

<li>Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and commissioning processes</li>
<li>Heavy civil engineering construction experience, power sector projects seen as an advantage</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>SMart Wind requires an Offshore Engineer to support the Engineering Coordinator in the delivery of SMart Wind’s engineering development milestones.  The Offshore Engineer will assist in management of site surveys, wind turbine and platform design studies, and other activities in relation to the development, design, and consenting of offshore wind projects in the Hornsea Zone.  This will involve commercial aspects such as managing the geotechnical, geophysical, and met mast O&amp;M framework agreements with key suppliers as well as tendering and agreeing contracts for the provision of design studies and additional site surveys as necessary. </p>
<p> The Offshore Engineer will also need to work closely with the environment and consents and land acquisition teams.  This will include: assisting with site selection and feasibility studies; gaining the consents necessary to carry out site surveys; stakeholder liaison in support of consultations required for consents; and developing ‘Project Descriptions’ required for Environmental Impact Assessments and consent applications.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Activities</strong></p>

<li>Conceptual Design for Electrical Part of Renewable Energy  Power Plants</li>
<li>Preparation of technical elements of Employer’s Requirements for EPC and Consultant contracts</li>
<li>Assisting with technical design reviews of Contractor’s detailed designs</li>
<li>Monitoring of contractors</li>
<li>Procurement of long lead electrical items (e.g. transformers)</li>
<li>Grid Code Review &amp; Liaison with Grid Company for grid connection process</li>
<li>Assist the Construction team on electrical engineering issues</li>

<p>Mainstream Renewable Power is a renewable energy development company with operations in North America, South America, South Africa, UK offshore and Germany offshore. <p>Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa has a large wind and solar development pipeline in South Africa and will submit a further seven projects into the upcoming South African REFIT process.  In December 2011, the company’s three lead projects were awarded preferred bidder status under the first round of the South African Government’s Renewable Energy Procurement Programme. Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa are now seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our Asset Delivery team responsible for delivering these projects.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>The Contract Manager provides contractual support and guidance to the Asset Delivery Manager, the Project Managers and the Contract Administrators ensuring that the Delivery Team are aware of the contract processes and procedures that are to be used during the delivery phase of each contract. The Contract Manager will overview the contractual status of every contract and ensure that any non conformance is highlighted and corrected whilst supporting Head of Asset delivery and Procurement in identifying and delivering contract training to the Delivery Team.</p>
<p>The Contract Manager’s key responsibilities comprise the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Reports to the Asset Delivery Manger (or deputy).</li>
<li>As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting procedures.</li>
<li>Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.</li>
<li>Monitor compliance by company employees with established procedures.</li>
<li>Work with risk management department to coordinate contractual insurance requirements.</li>
<li>Work with finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies,, export controls and so on</li>
<li>Work with the Delivery Teams and the Head of Asset Dlivery to ensure that the Procurement Plan for each project is produced and approved</li>
<li>Oversee the implementation of contract terms and conditions on all contracts</li>
<li>Ensure that every project works to the approved contract procedures and completes each register and proforma as the contract progresses. As a minimum this will include:</li>

<p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p>
<ul>

<li>Experience of line managing, mentoring and training contract administrators through delivery of simultaneous projects</li>
<li>Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and commissioning processes</li>
<li>Professional qualification</li>
<li>Heavy civil engineering construction experience / experience in renewable energy / power generation.</li>

Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa are now seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our Asset Delivery team responsible for delivering these projects.</p>
<p>This is a contract position.</p>
<p>The rate for this position is negotiable depending on experience</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>As the Company Site Representative, you will be the local point of contact for all site and land owner related concerns during the lead up to construction. During the construction phase you will be responsible for managing the EPC Contractor(s) during from the commencement of work onsite through to final handover of project to the operations team.</p>
<p>The Company Site Representative key responsibilities comprise the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Reports to the Project Manager (or deputy) on a daily basis.</li>
<li>The position will undertake the management of the EPC Contractror’s site activities for during the construction and commissioning of the project and the coordination of the activities of Company Site HSE, QA/QC and ECO Inspectors.</li>
<li>Manage site construction activities in cost effective and timely manner, ensuring that planned projects completion dates are met.</li>
<li>To act as a point of contact for all project landowners to ensure they are informed of project activities and work being carried out on their land through the construction phase&#8230;</li>
<li>Managing Contractor interfaces to achieve timely delivery, whilst minimising potential for Contractor downtime and claims.</li>
<li>Monitor the work and enforce site rules and adherence to the construction phase plan to ensure the health and safety of everyone on site.</li>
<li>Engaging and managing local technical and engineering consultants.</li>
<li>Supervise commissioning activities, ensuring smooth hand-over of facilities to Assets Owners after successful commissioning.</li>
<li>Significant autonomy in work, but a strong reporting and approval process using Mainstream’s Asset Delivery procedures and process (this is based on PMI® PMBOK®).</li>
<li>Raise changes to procedures if required and ensure a change management system is applied. Specifically he must ensure all changes to procedures are documented, risk assessed and communicated to and approved by all relevant parties and key personnel</li>

<p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p>

<li>Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical or civil), with a minimum of 5-10 years experience.</li>
<li>Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or a Chartered Engineer (CEng) (or equivalent with suitable construction experience).</li>
<li>Heavy civil engineering construction experience / experience in renewable energy / power generation.</li>
<li>The candidate must be fluent in both Afrikaans and English; fluency in other languages is considered an advantage.</li>
<li>Background in farming/ agriculture is considered an advantage.</li>
<li>Skilled in management of site construction activities with proven ability to manage the interfaces with various stakeholders (Operations, HSE, Security and Community Relations disciplines) during project execution.</li>
<li>Capable of managing projects in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team setting</li>
<li>HSE management of a large group of people and contractors.</li>
<li>Strong project management skill set required including contract management, contract administration, scheduling, planning, financial control and management.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communications skills.</li>
<li>Candidates should be capable of managing internal and external resources.</li>
<li>Ability to use Microsoft software as well as specialist software packages such as GIS, AutoCAD, MS Project and SharePoint.</li>

<p>Mainstream is currently recruiting for a HSE Manager to provide expert health and safety, and environmental advice in relation to planning, construction and operation of Mainstream’s onshore wind farms, solar projects and associated works. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted and will plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measures that will ensure Mainstream’s business activities are carried out in a safe manner with the target minimum lost time incidents and zero accidents.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Activities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Be the competent advisor to line managers and employees in Mainstream’s onshore business on all Health, Safety and the Environment issues.</li>
<li>Be competent advisor on Health, Safety and Environmental legislation in South Africa with specific experience in South African construction industry.</li>
<li>Assist Asset Delivery project managers with construction stage health and safety compliance.</li>
<li>Understand, promote and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and policies in undertaking all activities. Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure Mainstream is compliant with mandatory requirements.</li>
<li>Carry out risk assessments and incident investigations which identify and take account of all relevant hazards. Fulfilling Mainstream’s “duty of care” obligations by  reviewing and providing comments on Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMs) provided by vendors.</li>
<li>Assist in the preparation and review of contract documentation and scopes of work and in the selection and management of contractors. </li>
<li>Proactively keep up to date with all latest developments and new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all the Health &amp; Safety legislation and any developments that affect Mainstream’s business activities.</li>
<li>Inform colleagues about relevant HSE legislation, guidance and precedents and associated implications in relation to onshore development. Advise line managers on statutory / regulatory HSE requirements in each of Mainstream’s onshore regions.</li>
<li>Ensure Asset Delivery and development teams are kept aware of health and safety requirements and that health and safety is a priority for all team members</li>
<li>Promotion of Mainstream culture of continuous HSE improvement and to share good practice across the company. Plan practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, of promoting health and safety and safe working practices</li>
<li>Lead in-house training with managers and employees regarding key HSE issues including lessons learnt</li>
<li>Respond to consultations and contribute to external studies/research/working groups as appropriate</li>
<li>Proactively engage with stakeholders, partners, industry, local associations and regulators on HSE issues.</li>
<li>Assist the SHEQ Manager in developing a localised version of the Mainstream Integrated Management system. Including certification</li>
<li>Liaise with colleagues, including Project Managers to ensure that ‘Environment’ (‘E’)  is fully integrated into HSE plans</li>

<li>Liaise with partners and other Mainstream colleagues (eg in finance, engineering) to ensure projects are designed and developed to be practical, safe and efficient and pose minimum impact for the environment or stakeholders</li>
<li>Ensure a consistent approach is taken to HSE across all markets</li>
<li>Design and support a range of prevention and training measures to improve safety</li>
<li>Develop occupational safety elements of integrated H&amp;S management system, including preparation and dissemination of all relevant documentation, development of appropriate safety standards, reporting and information chains and emergency management.</li>
<li>Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins as required</li>
<li>Own on behalf of the Mainstream SHEQ department all HSE policies, procedures and templates, and other requirements that apply to Mainstream’s onshore business. Work with Asset Delivery Project Managers and Development Project Managers in each of Mainstream’s onshore regions to ensure that the HSE policies, procedures and templates that apply are appropriate for that country</li>
<li>Carry out HSE audits on onshore office locations and project sites</li>
<li>Provide HS&amp;E reporting for the Onshore Business to the Mainstream SHEQ Manager and to Onshore Line Management.</li>

<p>The candidate must be equipped with a broad range of HSE skills and have a proven track record in the wind and solar industry. The ideal candidate will hold at least 5 years experience in a similar role with a renewable plant developer, while experience in construction would also be advantageous. In addition to a degree or professional qualification the candidate will hold an IOSH diploma or equivalent qualification.    </p>
<p>The candidate should be equipped with the following key skills and experience:</p>
<ul>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Ability to work in a team, coordinate and enthuse colleagues and consultants</li>
<li>Strong initiative and the ability to proactively identify required tasks</li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to maintain sight of the ‘big picture’ and overarching objectives at all times</li>
<li>Good IT skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel and Project packages An organised approach to working, task prioritisation and time management</li>
<li>Fluency in English, both written and spoken.   </li>
